Casey is 14 1/2 years old. She grew up in Rocky Mountain House and moved to Red Deer in grade 9. She currently attends St Thomas School. Casey began gymnastics as a young child (e.g. 4 years old). She started training at Rocky Flipz in Rocky Mountain House and then transferred to Exelta Gymnastics Club where she has continued to train for the past 10 years Casey commuted from Rocky Mountain House House to Red Deer for a period of 10 years up until her move to Red Deer. Casey is currently competing at Junior Olympic Level 8. She is training 5 days a week with a total of 22 hours per week and cross training 1 day per week with Titans Track and Field Club.

When asked what her goals for gymnastics include this year, Casey stated that she would like to compete at Level 9 this competition season and place in all of her competitions. She also stated that she is working on achieving all of the skills. . She reported that her favorite event is bars. Casey related that gymnastics has taught her a number of things including: how to be healthy, how to be determined in everything that she does, motivation, strength and to be athletic in all sports.   Over the years, Casey has received a number of awards including: Most Dedicated Athlete both at Exelta as well as at International Gymnastics Camp, Most Improved Athlete at Exelta, Athlete of the Year in the 2015-2016 season as well as receiving 2nd place on beam at Alberta Winter Games to name a few.
