- Volleyball -

Ben has been playing volleyball for four and a half years. He attends Lindsay Thurber High School, where he competes on the volleyball, basketball, track and field and cross-country teams and was nominated for Male Athlete of the year for 2013/2014.  Outside of school, he has also played lacrosse and football.

In his first year of playing volleyball,  he represented Zone 4 at the Alberta Winter Games where they finished fourth. He was a starting middle for the Lindsay Thurber team that won the 2013 ASAA 4A Men's Volleyball Provincial Championship.  In 2014,  he played as a middle for U16 Team Alberta in the Western Elite Championship , where they finished second to U17 Team Alberta. He has since moved to left side.

Achievements in other sports include:
     --  Placed fifth and thirteenth in cross country provincials in 2013 and 2014 respectively
     --  Competed at provincials in high jump, long jump and junior boys 400m relay in 2014
     --  Won Peewee A Provincial Lacrosse Championship in 2010

He currently plays for the CAKVC U18 Kings as an underage player  His goal is to play for  U17 Team Alberta at the National Team Challenge Cup this summer.
