- Equestrian Vaulting -
Angelique has been vaulting for 13 years. She started vaulting in the Netherlands, and continued the sport after moving to Alberta in 2001, starting a club together with her mother and sister. Angelique won the 2008 Alberta Senior Women’s Reserve Champion and the Division B Canter High Point Award, the same year. She placed 3rd at the 2009 Canadian National Women’s Championship in Division A Canter. Besides competing at the national level herself, Angelique is also the lunger and horse trainer for all the horses at the Meadow Creek Vaulting Club. She plays an important role as the lunger for all the vaulters competing at the National and Provincial level. Angelique graduated from the Olds College in the Equine Science Program in 2009, and currently manages Creekside Equestrian Center, and trains horses.
