Kirsten started playing tennis at the age of 5 because her older sister was taking lessons. By the age of 7 Kirsten won the Ontario Rogers Rookie Under 10 Tour. At age 10, she was invited to join Tennis Canada’s U12 National Squad.  Kirsten won the Girls U12 and U14 Singles Alberta Indoor Provincial Championship at 10 years old. In July 2011, she competed for Canada in the U12 European Tennis Association Tour in Italy. Kirsten competed in her first Canadian National Championship at the age of 9 and her best finish was 8th in Canada. She plays singles and doubles. Her older sister is her best friend and doubles partner.
