- Swimming -

My name is Elizabeth Moore, I am 13 years old and I am a competitive swimmer with the Sylvan Lake Nauticals.  I have been competing since I was 7 years old. Prior to swimming, I danced for 4 years participating in tap dancing, ballet and hip hop.

I love swimming and I love competing.  I have competed at the local level since I started swimming and have been competing at the provincial level for the past 4.5 years.  I have been fortunate enough to earn at least one medal at each provincial competition.  The past short course provincials March 6-8, 2013 in the 12&under year old age group I won 2 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 2 bronze medals. And at the past long course provincials July 3-6, 2013 I aged up and had to compete in the 13&14 year old age group I won 2 gold medals and 2 4th places ribbons and the other 3 events placing in the top 16. I have made many friends through swimming and I look forward to meeting many more people along the way.

This past summer I once again qualified for the Canadian Age Group Championships which were held in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  I qualified for 9 events, swimming in 7.  Out of those 7 races I finished in in the top 10 in Canada in 3 of them.  It was a great experience and I was able to meet a number of swimmers from across the country.  I am looking forward to going to Quebec City this season to once again compete at the National level.

Currently I am very busy swimming, playing on the school volleyball team and attending the gym on a weekly basis.

My goals for the next couple of years include medaling at the Canadian Age Group Championships in Quebec City in 2015 and going on a school exchange program to either Quebec or France.
