Sledge Hockey -
Tanner Fandrey is an 18 year old Red Deer Native who has played sports his entire life.   He began playing adaptive sports after being diagnosed with Avascular Necrosis in 2009 and Ankylosing Spondylitis in 2012.  Having a disability has never slowed him down and he has been able to compete on the international circuit as a Para-Alpine Sit Skier with Team Alberta as well as having continued playing his favourite sport, hockey. This year Tanner made the jump from junior sledge hockey to the senior league and is currently playing with the Edmonton Impact Senior Team. He tied for the most points in the season last year; was affiliated with the New England University and played in the New England Invitational Sled Tournament where he assisted his team to win 2nd overall including competing with members of both the US and Canada's Paralympic teams; in his league his team went undefeated and of course finished first overall. Tanner’s goal is to represent Canada at the 2018 Olympic Games in Korea.
