- Speed Skating -

Born in North Bay, Ontario, 17-year-old Neal Boisvert is an up and coming long track speed skater. Introduced to skating at the age of 2, Neal has been passionate about being on the ice ever since. He played hockey for 12 years, was on the silver medallist team for the Peewee AA provincials (2008) and won the Hockey 10 student award at Hunting Hills High School in 2012.  Neal was pursuing his goal of playing NCAA hockey, when during his transition into junior hockey, he sustained a career ending concussion in 2012. He transitioned to speed skating on October 2012, and has been training towards his goal of representing Team Alberta at the 2015 Canada Winter Games ever since.
