Taylor was born on the 3rd of June 1998 in St Albert, Alberta. Since that time he has lived in Toronto Salisbury England, Edmonton and he moved to Red Deer in 2005. He attended Ecole Camille J. Lerouge and is currently a grade 11 student at Notre Dame High School.
Sport Interests:
Since a young age Taylor has been involved in competitive sports programs. He started swimming with the Catalina competitive swim club when he was 5. In this program he progressed to a training regime that involved swimming for two hours a day five days a week. He continued with the club until he was 10, at which time he had to make a choice between swimming and the other sports he was involved in. Ultimately, he decided to pursue a wider variety of sports rather than focus on one, and retired from swimming. The highlights of his swimming career were competing at the provincial level on three separate occasions.
He has been involved in school sports throughout Junior-High and High-school, including basketball, volleyball, track and field, and he has also competed in 10 different triathlons throughout the province. Highlights in these activities were winning the athlete of the year award while he was attending Camille and winning a Zone-wide award for outstanding achievement at a track and field meet. In the last year he participated in the Notre Dame rugby program.
Football has been a passion of his since he first started playing in the Red Deer Minor Football Atom league when he was 10. Following Atom, he played two years of peewee, two years of bantam and in November finished his second year of high-school football at Notre Dame. Of note, at the end of last season, I was chosen by coaches to represent my school as an all star at the Awards Banquet which was attended by all the teams in Central Alberta. In addition, he was also selected to play for the AAA Prairie Fire Midget Football team, which includes the best players from all over Central Alberta, all of which compete for a spot on the team. Taylor played with Prairie Fire for the 2013 and 2014 seasons and opted to play this season so that he could participate in the Rugby Alberta program.
